Prerequisite For Adding Printer Queue

Make sure you have installed the correct CUPS PPD for your printer before adding printer queues.

If you encounter problems with USB detection when running this application
as a Non-root user, try the following:

1) Login as root
2) Go to Administration->User Administration
3) Click the username of any non-root user
4) Click the 'Edit' icon
5) Click the 'Groups' tab
6) Check 'sys' groups found in the list
7) Click 'OK'
8) Close the 'User Administration' Dialog and logout

After this, you can run the application using the user you specified
in the steps above and have the application detect the USB device.

PCLinux 2011.9

If you encounter problems with USB detection or encounter an empty list
of wireless networks when running this application as a Non-root user,
try the following:

1) Login as root
2) Go to More Applications->Configuration->Configure your Computer->System->Manage Users on System
3) Click the username of any non-root user
4) Click the 'Edit' icon
5) Click the 'Groups' tab
6) Check 'sys' groups found in the list
7) Click 'OK'
8) Close the Dialog and logout

After this, you can run the application using the user you specified
in the steps above and have the application detect the USB device or be able
to see available wireless networks. Note that step #2 above applies to a KDE
desktop. Gnome users might have a different navigation path.

The firewall is turned on by default. If there are no network printers displayed
on the "Network Printer Selection" dialog, you can either turn off the firewall
or you can configure it to allow outbound and inbound traffic on port 5353.

The firewall can be configured by clicking System->Administration->Firewall
